Real Tomatoes Have Curves

By Nathan Myhrvold
Limited Edition

The tomato is full of surprises. It is not a vegetable, but a fruit—a berry to be exact. And although tomatoes are now synonymous with Italian cooking, the first tomato plants grew wild in western South America and Mesoamerica. Heirloom varieties often get attention for their taste, but Nathan was also taken by this tomato’s natural beauty.
