A Shot of Cream

Nathan brewed up the idea of a balloon-pendulum robot in order to catch this daring coffee shop cannonball act. Balloons filled with coffee and cream are attached to metal arms that swing towards each other and deploy a needle at just the precise moment, popping the balloons. By syncing his camera trigger with the robot, Nathan was able to perfectly capture the collision of coffee and cream suspended in midair.
