OVERVIEW
The Green River Overlook is among the most dramatic sights in Canyonlands National Park. It overlooks a canyon carved by the Green River, the top layer of which passes through a formation known as the White Rim sandstone. The famous White Rim Trail, a treacherous 4WD trail that stretches over 100 miles, reminded Nathan of a terrestrial extension of the dusty nebulas that darken the central belt of the Milky Way. To showcase his vision, Nathan took photos at the same location during both twilight and the late evening. He then aligned and composited them to create this ethereal landscape.
